Sian Richardson: Doing Things My Way

“I became an entrepreneur because I realized that there had to be more to life than just following in the footsteps of everyone else. I wanted to do things my way – and there was no way in hell I was going to spend my days sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week when there was a whole world out there for me to explore. Especially when I realised that there was a way for me to use my skills as a designer to create good work for really awesome people.

After I’d lined up one month’s work, I realized I had no plans and total freedom. I was scared, but there was no way I was going back to a 9-5 job. I decided I wanted it more than I was afraid of it and devoted myself to making my dream life a reality.

3 years later, here I am – helping people carve their own badass, passion-filled trails. I travel. I work from my laptop. I do the work I feel called to do. And I love it. It’s not easy, and there are days when I just want to run away and hide, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I can honestly say that my life is my life – not someone else’s. And I’m pretty stoked about that.”
